Pattern is today the beating heart of an outstanding industrial group and a symbol of Made in Italy in the luxury fashion sector. The company’s story began in Turin in October 2000, driven by the entrepreneurial vision of Fulvio Botto and Franco Martorella, now Technical Directors and Majority Shareholders. The goal was ambitious from the start: to build an Italian center of excellence in prototyping and engineering for high-end outerwear and men’s luxury fashion. Over time, this mission led the Group to a major milestone: in 2022, Pattern fulfilled the vision it had announced during its 2019 IPO the creation of Italy’s first hub for Luxury Design and Manufacturing.
In 2023, a new phase of expansion began, once again guided by a concrete industrial vision rooted in the local territory. The Group continued to invest in the Italian manufacturing landscape, strengthening its production hubs and building a network of expertise capable of meeting the needs of a fast-evolving sector one increasingly driven by quality, sustainability, and innovation.
Pattern’s true strength lies in its ability to oversee every stage of the production chain, from R&D to prototyping, all the way to final manufacturing. This end-to-end capability extends across the main segments of luxury fashion: menswear and womenswear, woven fabrics, knitwear, leather goods, and accessories. Collections developed by the Group regularly appear on the runways of London, Milan, Paris, and New York, confirming its solid and internationally recognized market positioning.
Three key values support Pattern’s growth and form the DNA of the Group: Technology & Innovation, Human Knowledge, and ESG (Environment, Social, Governance). These pillars shape every strategic decision and guide the Group’s companies toward a future that is increasingly responsible, efficient, and excellence-driven.
In this context, Pattern turned to Crea Solution to introduce a cutting-edge technology into its production chain: IRIS, an advanced vision system designed to optimize the cutting of fabrics with complex patterns. Thanks to IRIS, a traditionally manual process is now automated, faster, and more accurate, enabling a smooth and continuous production flow. The system can precisely recognize patterns such as stripes, checks, or tone-on-tone designs, and it aligns models perfectly to ensure flawless consistency in the finished garment.
Another powerful feature is the software’s ability to automatically detect fabric defects. Once identified, IRIS recalculates the pattern layout in real time no manual intervention required. This not only minimizes waste and errors but also delivers clean cuts that are immediately ready for the next phase of production.
For Pattern, adopting IRIS is a clear example of how technology and sustainability can coexist, improving production efficiency without compromising the artisanal quality that defines the brand. Optimizing resource use, minimizing waste, and delivering excellence in the final product not only respects the environment but also honors the Italian tailoring tradition on which the Group’s success is built.
Looking ahead, Pattern continues to develop an industrial model aligned with the new demands of luxury: a model based on deep expertise, technological innovation, and social responsibility. In this vision, tools like IRIS are not just operational solutions, but strategic levers to support a fashion industry that is increasingly aware, ethical, and equipped to meet the expectations of a changing global market.
