Camiceria Fray chooses the Crea CAD suite and Creafit Plus to evolve made-to-measure production

A shirtmaking excellence born in Bologna

Camiceria Fray is a historic Italian shirtmaker founded in Bologna in 1962. The brand has built its identity on elegance, absolute quality, traditional workmanship, and hand-finished details. A Fray shirt is designed to retain its value beyond trends, thanks to artisanal care and precision in every detail.

Over the years, Fray has also strengthened its international presence. The brand began to gain recognition beyond Italy as early as 1971, and in 1983 its commercial expansion led the company to move to its production site in Casalecchio di Reno, near Bologna.

For a company with this identity, innovation cannot replace sartorial value. It must protect it, make it more efficient, and allow complex processes to be managed with greater precision.

The need: digitalizing pattern making without losing sartorial quality

In high-end shirtmaking, every detail matters: fit, proportions, collars, cuffs, measurement parameters, alterations, size grading, pattern management, and customizations.

Fray needed to strengthen its pattern-making department with more advanced tools, capable of supporting both traditional CAD pattern design and the creation of made-to-measure patterns.

The goal was clear: to make technical work more fluid, precise, and scalable, while preserving the quality that defines the product.

For this reason, Camiceria Fray chose to purchase the entire Crea CAD suite and Creafit Plus, the system dedicated to the automatic generation of made-to-measure patterns.
