MINICONF chooses GOORU PLM to manage product development in a multi-brand ecosystem
An Italian group specialized in childrenswear
MINICONF is an Italian company specialized in childrenswear, active since 1973 and focused on quality, style, comfort, and children’s freedom of expression.
The company’s portfolio includes brands such as Sarabanda, Minibanda, and iDO, supported by a structure involving more than 350 collaborators across headquarters, branches, and stores.
Alongside its own brands, MINICONF also manages highly recognizable projects and licences, including Ducati Kids and Superga. The Ducati collection, introduced into the MINICONF portfolio from the Fall-Winter 2022 season, is dedicated to children aged 3 to 16 and also includes a newborn selection.
For a company managing multiple brands, different targets, seasons, collections, licences, and product categories, product lifecycle management cannot rely on fragmented tools. It requires a central platform capable of connecting information, departments, and processes.
The need: managing the complexity of multiple brands and collections
MINICONF operates in a particularly structured environment: each brand has its own identity, positioning, and product development logic.
iDO represents a dynamic everyday style, designed for children who are always on the move. Sarabanda expresses a refined and versatile aesthetic. Minibanda focuses on the baby segment from 0 to 24 months. Ducati Kids adds a more sporty, iconic, and licensed universe.
In this scenario, the real challenge is maintaining order. Technical sheets, bills of materials, materials, colour folders, costs, suppliers, images, sizes, progress updates, and tasks must be available to different teams without duplication or data dispersion.
The goal was therefore to adopt a PLM platform capable of centralizing product information and making collaboration between design, product, technical, sourcing, production, and management teams more efficient.
